Eragon: Reviewed
The movie reminded me of Lord of the Rings and Reign of Fire. It has the picturesque valleys, mountains, waterfalls, fjords and the like. I loved this movie because of the simplistic approach of the director but didn't lack in depth. Even toddlers will be able to understand and enjoy the movie.
This movie doesn't have an all-star ensemble but the actors were superb nonetheless. The special effects were great! From someone whose primary purpose was to kill some time, I didn't budge in my seat and watched the movie the second time around and then I realized that I just didn't like it, I LOVED IT!
The storyline isn't entirely unique but it has some depth. The battle scenes weren't that good but it's not bad either. I was moved to tears when Eragon's uncle was killed and when Bron died saving Eragon.
Can't seem to forget the catch phrase "one part brave, three parts fool" primarily because I know I am.
Overall, I think this is a movie everyone can relate to. I see a part of me in Eragon that's why I liked it so much.
