An Inconvenient Truth: Reviewed

This film offers the greatest scare, and not because of stupid women climbing out of a well or some other curse. This movie transcends Norman Bates because it introduces to everyone the real psycho in the world-- the one staring at you in your mirror. That's right, your own self.

The damage that awaits us, our fate, is presented in this haunting film of the past and present. Our doom is well predicted with scientific proof and precision, an event of extinction that will happen in the next 50 years, well within our lifetime.

As twisted as it may seem, I'm hoping that this film will be pirated. It needs to reach a wider audience. It needs to make people understand what we are all facing as a species. It needs to inform everyone. Only then can we all start praying that the whole world will act as one.

Dear God, I really hope we do.

The facts presented in that movie are completely over exagerated. A March 13, 2007 article in The New York Times reported on concerns among some scientists about the tone and the accuracy of the film, noting that they "argue that some of Mr. Gore’s central points are exaggerated and erroneous." Gore's discussion of a rise in sea level of up to 20 feet, while not stating a timeframe, appears in contrast with a report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which predicts a maximum rise of 23 inches this century, excluding non-linear effects on ice sheets. Do your own research and don't just listen to someone else's propoganda that is meant to further their political objectives. Al Gore himself flies around the counrty in a private jet. Now who is causing the earth to warm more than usual?
